Portugal Wildfires | Portugal Battles Uncontrollable Forest Fires | State Of Emergency
At least seven people have died as wildfires rage in Portugal, with four firefighters and three civilians among the victims. Authorities declared a ”state of calamity” as over 100 blazes burn uncontrollably between Lisbon and Porto, destroying numerous homes and vast areas of forest. More than 5,000 firefighters are battling the flames, with support from Spain. Authorities suspect many fires were deliberately started and have arrested seven individuals.
